We own a 1-acre urban community garden on the south side of Springfield, Ohio. We plant, grow, and harvest over 2,000 pounds of fresh produce (vegetables and herbs) annually and distribute to anyone free of charge.
The Garden is open from April through October. The busiest months are June-August. Hours of operation are varied and flexible, depending on the weather, and including evenings and weekends.
If you like being outdoors and don't mind getting a little dirty or sweaty, we are always in need of additional hands to help our garden be as productive as possible.
Volunteer help requested includes:
- Weeding, cleaning, maintaining, & harvesting above-ground and in-ground garden beds
- Weeding, cleaning, & maintaining perennial & flower beds
