Become a mentor with the Clark State Scholars program and share insights and information that encourage mentee's success. Many mentors, who are champions for our scholars, have expressed that it is a relationship more than teaching and advising, but also learn from mentees and establishing friendships. Mentors make a difference!
The role of a mentor:
- Mentors are willing to meet with students at least once a month for approximately one hour throughout the school year.
- Mentors support students throughout high school in order to prepare them for their college journey at Clark State.
- Mentors serve as role models and are a positive influence on our students.
- Mentors encourage our students and applaud their accomplishments.
Mentors are needed at our partnering high school:
- Champaign County – Urbana and Graham (Including Ohio Hi-Point)
- Clark County - Tecumseh and Clark Shawnee
- Springfield City School District (including CTC, GISA and School of Innovation)
