

Who We Are
IHN mission "In faithfulness to God, we are dedicated to help individuals and families overcome homelessness," established since 1990.
Emergency Shelter
Norm's Place contains nine bedrooms with space for 35 beds. One bedroom is handicap accessible. The number of people who can be housed at a given time varies based on family composition and ages of children.
Hartley House facility has space to house 36 single men.
What We Do
Services Provided
The following services are available for all IHN guests:
- Meals (donated by area churches and local colleges and restaurants)
- Address to receive mail
- Kitchen facilities
- Laundry facilities
- Telephone service
- Transportation in the form of bus passes and fuel cards
- Intensive case management
- Transitional housing (25 units) up to 24 months (income based)
- Permanent Housing (17 units)
While in the Program
Guest are required to seek housing, employment and/or benefits. Guests also meet with a Case Manager who helps them access their needs, set their goals, and build on their strenghts to meet those goals.
When leaving the Program
Guest may request items needed to set up their new homes or apartments.
IHN will provide food pantry items, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, bedding and furniture as available.
After Leaving the Program
Guest may receive follow-up services for six months after they leave the shelter.
They may get food pantry items, take classes and request case management services through courses in partner organizations.

Volunteers
IHN has many opportunities available for those who wish to volunteer their time:
- Assisting with furniture pick-ups
- Bagging food pantry items and hygiene products used by our guests.
- Sorting and shelving donated items
- Spending time with guests
- Help with our Annual Fundraisers
