Who We Are
159 South was formed by a group of concerned citizens who have deep roots in south Springfield and love this community. We are committed to significantly improving the economic conditions of low-income people, housing conditions and appearance of distressed places, and sense of community through targeted investments in people and places.
What We Do
Our initial work is focused on engaging the community and improving neighborhoods one block at a time by transforming vacant lots at key intersections into vibrant public spaces and improving distressed properties
